Every brochure calls Kashmir “paradise on earth”. It's a nice line. It just doesn't tell you which taxi to take at Pahalgam.
We started Dur Afshan to plan Kashmir the way we'd plan it for our own cousins visiting from outside: the right season for what they want to see, the right hotel for their budget, a driver we trust, and no surprises at the gate.
We're new, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise. What we do have is local knowledge, a phone that's always answered, and the time to get every trip right.

Dur Afshan — “scattering pearls”.
In Urdu and Persian, dur is a pearl and afshan is the act of scattering. Kashmir already has the pearls — Dal at dawn, Gulmarg's first snow, an afternoon by the Lidder. We're the thread: we string them into one journey that fits you.
